Mission Statement

The goal of the libraries of the School District of Lomira is to serve as a learning laboratory where the use of all resources, print and nonprint, is a planned and integrated part of the instructional program.  The services, programs, and materials the libraries provide will be selected to meet the differing needs, interests, and abilities of the students to encourage a love of learning and reading , to enrich the curricular offerings of the school, to support professional development, and to enhance the teaching methods of the staff.  The selection will also provide materials that show the diversity of cultures, creeds, and ethnic groups that exist in our country, the world, and differing positions that exist on controversial issues.

The purpose of the library is to assist learners in finding and evaluating information, developing personal interests, and selecting recreational reading, which will prepare students with life-long learning skills needed to function as individuals and participate in society.
