Lomira Area Education Enrichment Foundation (LAEEF) Grant Award:
The Lomira VEX Competition Club was awarded a $1,540 grant that will allow for the expansion of the program to Lomira Middle School. Two new teams will be formed to provide engineering, problem solving, and computer coding experiences for our students. The grant funds will be used to purchase robotics equipment and supplies for the building of competition robots.
Reminder that the consent forms for the Upcoming Flu Vaccine on November 4th are due on Thursday 10/27.

At approximately 8:30 A.M. this morning, there was an unplanned fire alarm. A sensor alarm in the sprinkler system triggered the alert. Local Fire and Police departments responded and the building was cleared by the Fire Chief. Students are safely back in class.
Our Lion Cafe held its Grand Re-Opening this week and it was a HUGE success!! This cafe offers great vocational experience for our students, and they love doing this!
THERESA ELEMENTARY AWARDED AS A 2022 NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL
Theresa, WI - The School District of Lomira is delighted to announce that Theresa Elementary School was recognized today as a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. Theresa Elementary School is one of eight Wisconsin schools nationally recognized with this prestigious award that honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools that close achievement and opportunity gaps and where students achieve high learning metrics.

4K - 8 Picture Day is Friday, September 16, 2022. Envelopes will be sent home Monday, September 12.
4K - 5th Grade Supply Drop off and Meet your teacher night is Wednesday, August 24th from 4:30 - 6:00.
Come to school and meet your teacher! All families are invited into school for drop off night. The teachers will be in their classrooms waiting to meet their new students and their families. You can bring ALL of your supplies to the classroom and meet your teacher.

Part-Time Special Education Paraprofessional
The School District of Lomira is looking for candidates to fill a part-time, 29 hour per week, paraprofessional position to support students who receive special education services in grades 4-6. Interested candidates should have experience with children, work well as part of a team, be flexible, and desire to work in a positive and productive learning environment. Candidates should send a resume, letter of interest, and a classified staff application form (available on the district website under about: district information tabs) to Chris Keiler/ Director of Pupil Services, School District of Lomira, PO Box 919, Lomira, WI 53048.
