Good morning. This is an update from the Lomira School District. Due to the uncertain power issues in the Lomira building, power lines being down on school property, not all building operantional systems being avaialable, and the winter weather conditions, the Lomira School District will be CLOSED on Wednesday April 3, 2024. We apologize for the late notice but feel closing is the best decision for the safety of students and staff. Thank you and have a great day.

This morning, one of our buses (teal bus) slid into the ditch early in their route. With the support of additional school staff, students were supervised until another bus was brought to the scene and the students were transported to school safely by their regular route driver. When the students arrived at school, Nurse Chelsea checked each of the students involved and calls were placed home to notify parents of the students directly involved in the accident. There are no apparent injuries to any students or the bus driver. Student safety continues to be a top priority of the School District of Lomira. We appreciate the cooperation of the students, the understanding of families, the additional staff support, and responding Fond du Lac County Law Enforcement in their efforts to ensure the safety of all of our students.
